    Good effort - you have built the mood well here and placed the titles in the right places.
    The sound and images work well together and you have used the cut to black successfully. WT C
    Improve the use of montage at the end and a jump scare

Firstly I noticed how sound played a pivotal role in emphasizing the effect of a 60ft monster, the pace of the sound was also admirable as the frantic, fluctuated music pace matched with the trailer enticing the audience into wanting why that was. In addition editing techniques such as jump cuts were evident in the trailer as they helped build tension to the trailer quickly building anticipation for the audience. Week 2 task 3 Using your notes from class on sub-genre and Horror conventions,  write a 300 word summary  of HOW the film make interesting use of the conventions of Horror and Sub-genres you have studied. Cabin in The Woods utilizes different sub-genres throughout the film that highlight the categories in the horror genre. This Horror film begins with the odd sense of the film actually  not fitting the right requirements to see it as a horror film as lighting, sound, camera, editing and mis-en-scene all play an essential part of diverting from its true nature. Essay on Genre theorists The trailer that I will be analysing is from ‘Splasher Splasher productions’. Their teaser trailer was very interesting as it included some horror conventions such as the corridor of doom which is ideal as it helps set the scene for their trailer. In addition the trailer includes one of the five genre theorists in it as well; Rick Altman seems to have played a vital role in the trailer as it seems this production gave off an emotional pleasure as it proves that the use of blackouts and eerie, intense music helps set a certain tone to the trailer as it may imply how the audience should be feeling at that very moment.  Furthermore the trailer also could be classed as an urban genre as urban genres are usually dark and broadcast the underside of a city.
